eMusic is a DRM-less mp3 music store and I have had an account for about a year. Until today I had been using a download manager written in Perl but it was a pain because of the EMusic.pm library it required. Then today just as I was starting to write my own I found this lovely Python script called: dromanova.py. It is perfect for assigning as the default Firefox action for .emp files. Enjoy!

I just came across another cool thing: if you’re using Songbird for your music, there’s a eMusic extension that lets you browse and download from eMusic right inside Songbird. It’s pretty sweet.
Oh, and Songbird is cool because it runs on Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux. It’s open source, and based partly on the Firefox engine. Have you tried it?
