We’ve packed February with many opportunities to meet! We’ll be going to several conferences, an international meetup, as well as several meetups throughout Oregon and the San Francisco Bay Area. We look forward to seeing you there!

Meetups and conferences

Docker Tel Aviv Meetup: Joey Schorr, software developer for Quay at CoreOS will be speaking at the Docker Tel-Aviv Meetup on Wednesday, February 10 at 6:00 p.m. IST. Come by and learn about CoreOS Linux, etcd, fleet, flannel, rkt and Clair.

Container Summit: Jake Moshenko, product manager at CoreOS, will be speaking at Container Summit in New York City.

At 11 a.m. ET, Jake will take part in a panel, Join the Container Revolution: The Cloud Native Computing Foundation. Speakers from Joyent, Mesosphere, Red Hat and Weaveworks will also join the panel about cloud-native infrastructure and container standards.
At 12:45 p.m. ET, Jake will present, The Next Step in Containers: Security and Speed. As the proliferation of containers continues, the next step in adoption is container security and speed. Come to this talk and learn how CoreOS is automatically detecting new and existing vulnerabilities, while implementing advanced technologies to make the container experience fast and efficient.
Be sure to also visit the CoreOS team at booth 5 all day!

Bay Area Kubernetes Meetup: Xiang Li (@xiangli0227), software developer at CoreOS, will be giving an etcd lightning talk at the Bay Area Kubernetes Meetup on Thursday, February 11 at 6 p.m. PT in Santa Clara, Calif. Be sure to come by and hear about Multi-tenant Kubernetes Networking with CNI plugins presented by Google too!

Oregon State University Linux Users Group: CoreOS is making a stop at the founders’ alma mater. Meet us on Thursday, February 11 at 6 p.m. PT in Corvallis, Oregon at the OSU LUG meeting. Alex Crawford, software engineer at CoreOS, will give a talk, The Lifetime of a CoreOS Machine, and Matthew Garrett (@mjg59), principal security engineer at CoreOS, will present, A Brief Introduction to Distributed Trusted Computing.

Portland CoreOS Meetup + Portland Techno-Activism 3rd Monday: We’re teaming up with the Portland Techno-Activism 3rd Monday group for a meetup to talk about how CoreOS focuses on security. Alex Crawford will speak about New Ways to Deploy and Manage Applications at Scale and Matthew Garrett will speak about Protecting Laptops Against High-Level Adversaries on Monday, February 15 at 6 p.m. PT in Portland, Ore.

Container World: On February 16-18 CoreOS will be at Container World in Santa Clara, California! Alex Polvi (@polvi), CEO of CoreOS, will be giving the keynote on February 18 – Containers for the Enterprise: It’s Not that Simple – at 9:10 a.m. PT. We will also have a booth in the expo hall for the duration of the event so drop by and say hi!

Kubernetes SF Meetup: Aaron Levy, software engineer at CoreOS, will be giving a talk on rkt and Kubernetes on February 17 at 6:30 p.m. PT at the Kubernetes SF Meetup in San Francisco.

Colorado Kubernetes Meetup: Join Josh Wood (@joshixisjosh9), DocOps at CoreOS, for the Colorado Kubernetes Meetup. He will be speaking about rkt and Kubernetes at the Deis (@opendeis) office in Boulder on February 18 at 6 p.m. MT.

RSA Conference: On February 29, Matthew Garrett (@mjg59), principal security engineer at CoreOS, will be at the RSA Conference on the Trusted Computing Group panel alongside Paul England of Microsoft and moderated by Paul Roberts of The Security Ledger at 10:05 a.m. PT in San Francisco.
