We just celebrated CoreOS’s third birthday (if you want to send us a birthday wish, share it here), and are planning to celebrate with Kubernetes on its birthday around the world in Seattle, New York, Berlin and more. Torus at Kubernetes NYC meetup @ YellowHammer: July 13, New York City
Barak Michener (@barakmich), software engineer at CoreOS and principal Torus architect, is in New York to talk about Torus at the next Kubernetes meetup. He’ll introduce and demo Torus, a modern distributed storage system by CoreOS, at 6:30 p.m. EST on July 13.

The Cybersec Conference is coming to New York City this July. Wei Dang (@weiliendang), head of product at CoreOS, is speaking on a panel on security and IoT at 11:15 a.m. ET on July 19. Join him for a discussion on how containers can improve the security of the internet.
Kubernetes Workshop @ 730 Third Avenue: July 20, New York City
Josh Wood (@joshixisjosh9), CoreOS developer relations, is sharing the knowledge of Kubernetes. Join him on July 20 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET at 730 Third Avenue for a workshop. The workshop will demonstrate how to run container applications on a Kubernetes cluster, connect those applications to each other and the wider network, and monitor and manage pod lifecycles.
New York Kubernetes Birthday Party Meetup @ Work-Bench: July 21, New York City
